Verdant Lane consists of four large well-proportioned houses that comprise eighteen bedrooms. Rooms spread across three floors in each house. Two rooms are available for respite/crisis care.
Wellness Housing Officers are on site 24hrs a day and offer Enhanced Housing Management Services e.g. tenancy sustainment, benefits advice and sign-posting to other agencies that do not relate to housing management. Staff work to ensure clients’ holistic wellbeing.
There are staffs duty 24-hours a day who can assist with any queries or concerns that may arise day or night from other QVT sites. There is also the availability of an out-of-hours on call manager to assist and support in times of emergency.
Verdant Lane offers supportive ‘family style’ accommodation with an emphasis on ‘normal living’. Each house offers four to five individual comfortable bedrooms, and the household members share communal areas including a lounge, a well equipped kitchen, toilets, two bathrooms, and attached gardens for each of the four houses. Bedrooms are equipped with a single bed, bedside table, wardrobe, and chest of drawers.
There is a comfortable lounge on each ground floor with sofas, chairs and dining area. T.V. facilities are available, as well as a computer with full internet access for clients’ use in the activity room. A payphone is available in the porch area of the staff based Operations office.
Laundry facilities consist of a washing machine and tumble dryer for shared use in all of the kitchens. Ironing facilities are also available in each house.
